How I Can Help

I specialize in psychiatric evaluations and medication treatments for anxiety, depression, bipolar, ADHD, OCD, PTSD, postpartum depression, schizophrenia, and other complex conditions in adults and teens, along with mental health assessments and ADHD testing. I provide comprehensive diagnosis and ongoing treatment based on your symptoms, history, and goals. I take care of FMLA, disability forms, and insurance verification so you can focus on getting better. I offer flexible online appointments across multiple states. My goal is to help you find treatments that work.

My Approach

I listen carefully to understand how your symptoms affect your daily life. During treatment, I prescribe medications and use therapy techniques that can begin working right away. I monitor your progress and make adjustments as needed so you're seeing real change. My team handles FMLA forms and insurance issues while we work together. Many of my patients come to me from high-pressure roles, dealing with burnout, anxiety, and the weight of their work: new and expecting mothers, healthcare workers, first responders, tech professionals, executives, and veterans. I am an LGBTQ+ affirming psychiatric provider, and I welcome and affirm transgender and nonbinary patients. I trained at Duke University, where I serve on the faculty as Consulting Associate. I review new research weekly on depression, PTSD, bipolar, and complex conditions, and I bring what I learn directly into my practice.

Your First Appointment

When we meet for the first time, we'll talk about your symptoms, your history, and what you want to get out of treatment. I'll ask about what's been tried before, what helped, and what didn't. By the end of that appointment, you'll have a clear treatment plan, and we'll have discussed whether medication, therapy, or both make sense for you. Most of my patients see me every two to four weeks after that first visit, and we adjust the schedule based on how things are going. My team handles any insurance or pharmacy issues that come up between visits, so you can stay focused on your treatment.
