How I Can Help

I specialize in therapy for anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, relationship issues, work stress, burnout, anger management, life transitions, and grief. I work with you to understand what's behind your symptoms and develop practical strategies to address them.

My Approach

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help you recognize the thought patterns that are fueling your anxiety, depression, or anger, and we work together to change them. I also draw from psychodynamic and trauma-focused approaches when those are a better fit for what you're dealing with. Every session is focused on real problems you're facing right now. You'll leave each appointment with specific techniques you can practice before we meet again. I'm not interested in open-ended talk without direction. I want you to see measurable progress. My team handles insurance and billing between sessions so you can stay focused on the work we're doing together. As a veteran myself, I understand the unique pressures of military service and the challenges that come with transitioning to civilian life. I work with people from all backgrounds, including healthcare workers, veterans, and active-duty service members dealing with burnout, PTSD, and the pressures of their work. I welcome and affirm LGBTQ+, transgender, and nonbinary patients. I received my training at Concordia University and the Adler School. I've been practicing for nearly 30 years, working with adults across a wide range of challenges. I hold specialized certification in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and continue to stay current with new therapeutic approaches and techniques.

Your First Appointment

In our first session, we'll talk about what brought you to therapy and what you want to change. I'll ask about your history, your current challenges, and what you've tried before. By the end of that session, you'll have an initial set of strategies to try and a clear sense of how we'll work together going forward. My team handles insurance and billing so nothing gets in the way of the work we're doing.
